Leaving Puente de Reina we arived at Estella a place I will remember more for the people and the atmosphere then the town itself. Beside the hostel we were welcomed by a very dynamic group of red cross volunteers who took care of us Pilgrims one after another, many with blisters some with tight muscles and several needing some inspiration to continue all provided free of charge. Here everyone has their own goals. For some it is to reach Santiago, for others Finisterr others have a week, and some choose to stop or continue with each day that passes. Everyone is supportive of others.. and like one young guy told me.. my feet feel like shit but my spirit is in the clouds and happily we all continue walking. Having by 6 blisters popped and cleaned we continued a short 21 km to Los Arcos where I left the group i was traveling with and continued another 8 km on my own. I walked with Jose a man who also left his group behind to do a few km on his own. After a couple hours I arrived at Torres del Rio where I met three university students my age also trying to go all the way.. butttt they had been getting up at 4 and leaving before 5 in the dark. sooo just for shits i got up this morning and followed them with our lanterns in the dark. It was sooo funny we got a lost for a few minutes and the city in the distance, the stars and the fresh air was exactly what I needed. After some debating to continue with them I decided to stay and meet my group here in Logrono like I had said I would. Though we travel at a slower pace then Roser, Osrar and Chanchi (the three spanish uni students) we have a great time!!! The cities are beautiful, the people are kind and unique and Spaniards are funny as hell!!
