T- 2 days ago (writen in my novel and later transcibed to the blog)
After leaving Roncesvilles blister free we spent a beautiful day and a short 22km walk to a small town (Zubiri) that the 4 of us joke we got to know so well that we should run the place. It had one of everything a bar, school and church. Day 3 was also a short 23km as wanted to be in Pamplona for sunday´s Euro Cup final. After Zubiri it was nice to be in a larger city full of locals prepping for next weeks fiestas (San Fermin). We took a walk, had a coffee in the Plaza and unfortunately only saw the first half of the game as our hostel closed at 10. I could pick up the game on my mp3 player and I did my best to keep a running commentary as for a few of us in the hostel. Today I write from Puente de Reina and I lie in bed a little worries as our token snorer on the camino is in my room. He is so loud it is almost impressive... but i have already scoped out a nook by the stairs if I need to relocate in the middle of the night. Today´s walk was the first truly trying day. 4 toes now have blisters and my heels burn with the heet .. so I can´t deside if I would rathe climb or go down hill as each has its pro and con. Even with the blisters I am proud to say that I kept pace with a 70 yr old German man. Our conversation was long and indepth... we spoke of the scenery, how he is 70 yrs old and how his family was too slow for him... I will spare you all the boring stuff haha.. it was fun to talk and not be heard and listen but not understand. It was pretty funny.. and although he had almost 50 yrs on me I tried to keep up. All is well... hoping my blisters go away by some miracle ahaha.. computer time is running out.. sorry for the quick note and any spelling mistakes.. much love xox mila
